Itahari . Two persons have been killed in a road mishap at Sundarharaicha-7 in Morang district this morning.
The deceased have been identified as Uma Niraula, 51, and Shyam Karki, 52, of Bhadrapur-15, of Jhapa district. They died on the way to Biratnagar for treatment.
The accident took place when a microbus (Ba 4 Kha 6919) en route to Kathmandu from Jhapa collided with a tree at the roadside after the driver lost control of the vehicle.
The injured have been sent to BP Koirala Institute of Health Sciences in Dharan, Itahari-based Community Hospital and Biratnagar-based Golden Hospital for treatment, according to the Eastern Regional Police Office, Itahari. Some of the injured have been reported critical.
